Email helpdesk@wildbear.tv if you encounter problems logging in with SSO.
Here is the document that was issued at the time of SSO roll-out.
To license assets (images and video) from Shutterstock, all required information should be added to the shared master Licensing sheet here.
Please refer to the Footage Rate card for information on the pricing of Shutterstock assets.
Assets are declared to Shutterstock monthly, at the end of each month. After confirming the pricing and availability of all assets, Shutterstock will issue Invoices and Proof Of Licenses directly to the WildBear Finance team.
Staff are responsible for ensuring that all information is filled out on the declaration sheet accurately. Assets that are listed incorrectly or incompletely may not be declared or Licensed. Please add assets to the declaration sheet as soon as possible to allow time for POL confirmation.
Please contact andy.dickinson@wildbear.tv with questions regarding Shutterstock Licensing.
As of August 2021 WildBear Entertainment is an Enterprise client of Shutterstock. All WildBear employees with an @wildbear.tv email address can access the Shutterstock (SS) Enterprise platform using a process called Single Sign On (SSO)
SSO uses your WildBear Google credentials to authenticate with the Shutterstock platform (your password is not shared outside the Google platform, so privacy is not at risk) Once logged into Shutterstock you will be able to browse and 'Comp' Shutterstock assets.
Shutterstock SSO was enabled on October 15th 2021. Any old Shutterstock accounts that used WBE email addresses have been deactivated
Any assets to be used for WBE Production purposes must be comped or licensed from an active, individual SSO user account. Do not create duplicate or shared accounts or use personal accounts for production purposes.
When Shutterstock assets are licensed from an SSO account, there will be mandatory purchase information to complete.
LICENSING - Licensing an asset from Shutterstock is to purchase a license that permits use of said asset(s) for commercial purposes (e.g. in WildBear produced TV show). The cost of Shutterstock assets varies based on media type, License type and Resolution (Editorial or Select footage collections are more expensive)
COMP - A comp is a full-resolution, non-watermarked download of a Shutterstock asset. The ability to download 'Comp' assets is a benefit of our deal with Shutterstock and allows us to create mock-ups and preview full resolution media prior to licensing.
It is a violation of Shutterstock terms of service to download Comp assets, without a legitimate intent to license them subsequently.
WildBear employees can also access a Google Shared Drive where Shutterstock Creative Images that have previously been licensed will automatically sync. Our license permits us to reuse these Creative Images for production, development or artwork purposes, without the need to re-license them.
The attachments below include a video demonstrating the SSO procedure, the Creative Image Google drive and further documentation regarding some FAQs around SSO and the Shutterstock platform.
If you encounter issues accessing Shutterstock, contact the WBE ICT Helpdesk
For more information about using Shutterstock in a WBE production, WBE footage quotas or Licensing costs please contact your Production Manager or the WBE Head Of Production.
